Prior to becoming the head of D&A Advisory, Steve was the founder and the Managing Director of Lee Pacific in Korea. Before Lee Pacific, Steve directed major security operations for two multinational corporations in the Asia Pacific, where he had responsibility for over 200 facilities, enabling him to amass widespread experience in strategic planning and decision-making regarding security and business interests, as well as corporate intelligence and crisis management.

Before entering the private sector, Steve retired as a senior officer from the US Army. Steve had a numerous Infantry, Military Police, and Intelligence assignments mostly in Asia thoughout his military career. Steve was an Army Attache to Korea and to Thailand advised US Ambassadors on intelligence concerning the US Government and the US Defense Department interest. Steve graduated with a BA in Criminal Justice from Chaminade University of Honolulu and an MA in Public Administration from Central Michigan University. He is also a Certified Protection Professional (American Society of Industrial Security). Steve speaks native-level Korean.
